The Ohmies: Last weekend for the ultimate play date in New York
Preschoolers and their families in the New York City area have one more weekend to experience the ultimate play date provided by THE OHMIES, that talented troop of performers that get kids up and moving in a healthy interactive performance of dancing, stretching, singing and giggling.
With original music, bright costumed characters, families are encouraged to participate in the performance by wearing comfortable clothing and socks, as you’ll be seated child-style on large, antimicrobial fitness mats. Limited seating is also available for those who are unable to sit on the mats.
The 55-minute performance is held at Daryl Roth Theatre, 101 East 15th Street (Between Union Square East and Irving Place) New York NY 10003.

Symphony Space serves up weekend fun for families
New York City residents, and families planning to visit the Big Apple over the next few months have some excellent choices for live children’s entertainment through the Just Kidding Series at Symphony Space.
Every Saturday, and on some Sundays from January to May, top talents in the nation bring kid-branded daytime fun by sharing their music, dance, literature, theatrical performances and unusual as well as cultural specialty acts.
The following is a lineup of this winter and spring’s offerings at Symphony Space, and there’s definitely something for everyone.

Symphony Space in New York City brings together a stellar lineup of children's entertainment
The Story Pirates appearing Saturday October 2, 2010 at 11AM“The Story Pirates teach kids a love of creative writing. It helps kids to see that their words and ideas are really important. The spotlight for children’s entertainment focuses on New York City this autumn and all the way through spring as Symphony Space hosts the "Just Kidding" series of weekly performances for the whole family on Saturdays, featuring over 28 music, dance or theatrical shows and 62 kid-friendly films such as WALLACE AND GROMIT, and BABE.
For the live-performances, Symphony Space will be headlining both seasoned veterans as well as some of the hottest rising stars in the children’s entertainment industry in their “Fresh Sounds Showcase.”
Bringing such a wide diversity of entertainment to the Just Kidding series is no easy task and taps on talent from all across the nation, everything from Native American Dancers to traditional folksingers.
Cynthia Elliott, Executive Director of Symphony Space, says “We put a lot of consideration into developing a season that will provide a wealth of educational and entertaining experiences for kids and parents.”
